If the edge of the stainless steel material is not flat or smooth, it will need to be edge sanded before polishing. Work your way up from the roughest available paper to the best.
If visible, sand in a consistent motion and follow the texture of the material without cross-hatching. Continue sanding until no edge scratches are visible and a satin finish is achieved.
