For precision gages, it is believed that those familiar with panel CNC machining will not be unfamiliar with precision gages. Because in the CNC machining of the panel, the role of precision measuring tools is still very obvious.
1. When measuring a part on a machine tool, wait until the part is completely stopped before proceeding. Otherwise, not only will the measuring surface of the measuring tool wear out prematurely, but it will lose accuracy and form a problem. In particular, when the lathe uses a wild card, do not think that the caliper is simple and the wear does not matter. Pay attention to the holes and shrinkage holes in the casting. Once the jaws fall into the air holes, the operator's hands can also be pulled in to form a serious incident.
2. Before measuring, the measuring surface of the measuring tool and the measuring surface of the part must be cleaned to avoid measuring the accuracy due to the presence of dirt. The use of fine measuring tools such as vernier calipers, percent rulers, and dial gauges to measure the size of the forged casting blanks, or abrasives (such as corundum, etc.) is faulty, so that the measuring surface wears quickly and loses accuracy.
3, in the use of measuring tools, do not and things, knives such as boring knife, boring head, turning tool and drill number piled together, do not touch measuring tools. Also don't put it on the machine tool, so that the measuring tool will not fall off and damage the gauge. In particular, vernier calipers, etc., should be placed flat in a special box so as not to deform the body.
4, measuring tools is the measurement of things, certainly not as a substitute for something else. For example, taking a vernier caliper line, taking a percentage rule as a small hammer, using a steel ruler as a sub-screw, and using a steel ruler to remove chips are all faults. It is also faulty to use a measuring instrument as a toy, such as waving a scale in a hand, or waving it in a hand, etc. It is all easy to lose the accuracy of the measuring tool.
5, the temperature has a great influence on the measurement results, the fine measurement of the parts must be to make the parts and measuring instruments measured at 20 °C. It is usually possible to measure at room temperature, but it is necessary to match the temperature of the workpiece with the measuring tool. Otherwise, due to the thermal expansion and contraction characteristics of the metal material, the measurement results are not accurate. The influence of temperature on the precision of the measuring tool is also very large. The measuring tool should not be placed under the sunlight or on the headstock. Since the measuring tool temperature increases, it cannot measure accurately. Not to place fine measuring instruments in the vicinity of heat sources (such as electric furnaces, heat exchangers, etc.) to prevent the gauges from being thermally deformed and losing accuracy
