There are many ways to classify CNC machine tools. Today, we explain to you according to the first classification method.

1, point control system

The so-called point control system is a process that controls only the movement of the tool from one point to another. During the movement process, no cutting processing is performed, and there is no requirement for the movement trajectory. However, there is a high accuracy requirement for the coordinate position. In order to increase the production efficiency, the machine generally performs the positioning movement in accordance with the highest feed rate, and decelerates or grades when approaching the positioning point, thereby reducing the positioning error due to inertia.

2, linear control system

The so-called linear control system is to control the movement of the tool along a direction parallel to a certain coordinate axis from one position to another position. The movement path should be parallel to the machine coordinate axis, that is, the tool can be given in the process of moving. The speed of cutting, and point difference is that the speed and trajectory between the two points are set by the system.

3, contour control system

Compared to the above two control systems, the contour control system is the most complete. It is the simultaneous control of two or more coordinate axes, not only to control the start and end coordinates of the moving parts of the machine tool, but also to control the speed, direction and trajectory of the whole process. Therefore, under the contour control system, the numerical control device is required to have the function of interpolation operation. Through the processing of the interpolation operator of the numerical control system, the cutter continuously cuts the surface of the workpiece during the movement, and various straight lines and arcs can be performed. Curve processing. Ability to perform two-axis or even multi-coordinated control, as well as point and line control
