Knurled Head Half Threaded Thumb Screw Details
Knurled Head Half Threaded Thumb Screw Application

Normal metal fasteners tend to be melt when the temperature exceeds four digits (i.e., 1000 °F or higher). At such high temperatures, these fasteners will oxidize, which is essentially a faster form of corrosion and rust.
Let us consider another example. A machine that uses ordinary metal fasteners. When the machine is heated above a certain temperature, the metal fasteners attached there to expand and apply pressure to the holes into which they are driven. When the machine is not in use, it cools down, shrinking the metal fasteners and loosening them inside the holes.
This is why special high-temperature fasteners are introduced that can withstand the extreme stages of extreme high temperatures and effectively cool without damage.

FAQ:
What material can you make for machine screws?
Brass, Aluminum, steel, nylon and so on
How is quality ensured of steel thumb screw?
We have strict quality control from producing to delivery. There is strong technology support from our engineers.
What’s your delivery time of screws/cnc lahte parts?
Standard parts: 7-15days. Non-standard parts: 15-25days. We will make the delivery as soon as possible with the guarantee quality.
What are the different types of alloys used to make high temperature fasteners?
High temperature fasteners are made from a selection of alloys that match the performance required for the fastener. The following are some of the alloys that meet the conditions for use of these fasteners:
Nickel alloys: Some common nickel alloys are used in these fasteners, such as Inconel 600, 625 and 718. They have good oxidation resistance and can withstand temperatures from 1800°F to 2000°F.
Stainless Steel 630: Excellent hardness, high strength and toughness make this alloy ideal for high temperature fasteners. Stainless steel 630 is made by cold working and low temperature aging.
Stainless Steels 309 and 310: The reason these two alloys are used for high temperature fasteners is that they have higher chromium and nickel contents than other alloys. Stainless steel 310 alloys are known to provide additional corrosion resistance in extreme environments.
A-286 alloy: This is an iron, nickel and chromium alloy. A-286 alloy has age hardenability and high strength. It has excellent oxidation resistance and can withstand temperatures up to 1300 °F.
